Band 2 - Clinical Support Worker - Nicol Unit - 37.5 Hours

Competent Clinical Support Workers are essential to assist us with managing the patient flow through our organisation and onwards into the local community and other services. This is one of a number of initiatives aimed to make the patient's journey through our services as good as it can be.

If you have an interest in caring for people there is opportunity to begin a career in a support role, which requires no set qualifications.
SWFT have recently introduced the 'Cavendish Care Certificate' (CCC) which means you will be trained to a specific set of standards providing evidence you have the right knowledge, skills and behaviours to provide 'compassionate, safe and high quality care and support'. This will form part of your induction to the organisation where you will be expected to achieve a number of competencies within the first 3 months of employment. You will be expected to attend study days and complete a number of activities. You will receive guidance and support from a clinical educator alongside an assigned mentor to assist you in meeting the assessment requirements.

There is also opportunity to then go on to train for a registered nursing degree should you excel in the position and wish to do so.
We are a supportive friendly team on the Nicol unit which is a community ward caring for mainly elderly patients requiring a step up or step down facilities. We offer rehabilitation, palliative care and admission prevention beds.
We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic, dynamic, highly motivated, and who is committed to giving high quality care.

These vary depending on the vacancy but their core purpose is to create an environment in which you, along with other candidates are able to demonstrate key workplace skills.
The Assessment Centre will be an opportunity for you get a feel for the culture, leadership, and learning opportunities within South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust. Assessment is based on a numeracy test, an interview and a group exercise which will be undertaken against the core values and behaviours that our employees pride themselves with.
