We have a vacancy for a competent, hard-working technician keen to develop themselves as a senior technician in clinical trials/ dispensary. This role will require someone who is much organised, methodical and to communicate assertively to a team of staff. You will work across site and based in the pharmacy department at the Lewisham Hospital, part of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust

The Clinical Trials Technician role is:

1. To be the lead technician for clinical trials, across both sites, supporting the Lead Pharmacist, Clinical Trials in the delivery of an efficient Pharmacy Clinical Trials Service.
To support the dispensary manager with the day-to-day management of the dispensary, including organisation of workload and supervision of all.

2. To be an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) or willing to undertake.

3. To line-manage staff.

You will work alongside the Dispensary Manager to ensure that the dispensary continues to develop its service, keeping quality as the main focus. You will have the opportunity to develop managerial skills in an environment that is both supportive and challenging in equal measure.

You must hold a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills QCF (or equivalent) and be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Applicants are also required to have a minimum of 1 years' hospital experience as a qualified pharmacy technician within a busy dispensary.
