Supply Chain Analyst x2

The Type 23 Class Output Management (COM) team are currently overseeing a major mid-life update process on all the T23 Class Frigates to enable the ships to operate to 2035. As part of that update the ships are being fitted with new diesel generators – known as the PGMU project. The PGMU project team are embedded in the T23 Strategic Class Authority (SCA) and work closely with the T23 COM in planning the installation programme for the new equipment.
Main Purpose of Role
The main purpose of these posts is to provide supply chain support to the T23 COM, specifically managing the supplier/MOD interface for the PGMU and for other related activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences
Experienced logistics professional with experience of monitoring and managing supplier performance against contracted plans.
Extensive experience of identifying areas of supply chain shortcomings, and developing and delivering plans to make improvements.
Proven track record of effective communication, and conducting customer and stakeholder engagement.
Experience of effective information management, including the authoring of reports and conducting configuration control
Experience of conducting planning, including forecasting and estimating
Experience of managing a diverse workload, including risk management and data analysis
Experience of maintaining commitment to deliver results, against their own and team’s responsibilities, even when difficulties arise.
Experience with the application of defence inventory management and asset tracking software (such as MJDI, BWIMS, MMIT) (desirable)
Knowledge of MOD procurement and contracting procedures and policies (desirable).
Knowledge of the Royal Navy’s equipment procurement and support framework (desirable).
Knowledge of the Type 23 frigate (desirable).
Degree qualified (or equivalent qualification)
Successful candidates will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements and may be required to complete a medical assessment.
The role will be in an environment regulated by Trade Control legislation and involve working with controlled goods, technology and/or services. This may require you to meet enhanced security and regular screening checks.
This position is within the Warships business unit as a grade 6 which has a salary of £40,545 with DRDL Terms and Conditions.
This role is based in Bristol - Abbey Wood.
