Overall Department Direction
The Change Programme Management Office is the information hub for change and improvement projects and programmes and involves delivery of strategic central projects, tracking/reporting, assurance/quality control, information management, financial tracking, risk/issue tracking, change control, and best practice knowledge sharing.
Main Purpose of Role
The role of the Change Business Analysts is to analyse the organisation's efficiency by studying its needs, its business model, its workflows and its systems and make recommendations to improve business efficiency, identifying options to improve and supporting the development of business cases.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences
Experience of strategic and business planning
Demonstrable experience and knowledge of model analysis, process design and engineering and statistical analysis.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience of software tools used within the specialism
Understands the need to drive change and deliver the business, teams & personal objectives with relevant and demonstrable knowledge, understanding and experience of business change.
Experience in delivering business improvements and projects in line with recognised change management, improvement and project processes.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and listening; with the ability to collate and present information at appropriate levels.
Is comfortable speaking to groups in a presentation / workshop environment, with experience in facilitating group discussions
Demonstrates initiative at all times with a forward-thinking approach;
Proactive but with the ability to react quickly when necessary to meet challenging objectives
Exhibits a consultative manner; Excellent people skills with the confidence to interact with people at all levels
Educated to degree level in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of Business Analysis techniques and practices essential – BCS BA accreditation or equivalent experience
Awareness and understanding of commercial drivers and business finance, business discipline qualifications would be desirable.
Proficient in the use of Information technology
Successful candidates will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements and may be required to complete a medical assessment.
This position is within the Central business unit as a grade 6 which has a salary of £40,545 with DRDL Terms and Conditions.
