Background to vacancy/ What is the purpose of the job? What do you need to achieve?

We're currently looking for a high-performing Visual Merchandiser to join our head office VM team, focussing on Foods and Hospitality. This is a very hands-on role, but one that will give our successful candidate an excellent starting point to build a career in M & S.

General Visual Merchandiser Job Profile

- Support the delivery of the Visual presentation strategy with space planning and the BU

- Support Visual Merchandising Manager in influencing the global product offer, to deliver an inspirational instore experience and customer journey

- Work hand in hand with Assistant Brand and Marketing Managers to ensure the right message lands in the right format in the right location for all seasonal launches, ensuring a seamless and consistent customer journey

- Support the delivery of a seamless Journey across all Customer touchpoints in line with marketing plan

- Support the delivery of clear content to produce world class guidelines that are on time and in full

- Support in the delivery of new category Instore schemes within a BU

- Conduct seasonal store PIRs with brand and marketing for M & S and all our key competitors

- Responsible for the set up of Key Visual initiatives

Foods & Hospitality VM Specific

- Deliver set ups of Food Event Zones and seasonal displays for each phase and season in the Waterside mock-shop

- Deliver food Window set ups, when relevant, in the Edgware Road mock-shop

- Support the launches of food initiatives (e.g. Wine Shop, Charcuterie Shop, Fresh to Go displays) either in mock-shop or in stores

- Source and buy props for specific initiatives and set ups - either one offs for category forums/events or to provide inspiration for schemes

- Work alongside category contacts (Buyers, FIPs, Product Developers) to source stock, product nominations and confirm costs to fill

- Work alongside production planning team to coordinate props, distribution and construction of foodhall and window schemes

- Conduct comparative shops and provide trend/competitor updates for wider Marketing team
