We have a vacancy for 'Band 6' Charge Nurse at Marlborough House, Milton Keynes.
Watling Ward is a 20 bedded, male, medium secure, acute admissions ward, specialising in the treatment of mentally disordered offenders and Chaffron Ward is an 8 bedded (medium secure rehabilitation ward)

We are committed to ensuring that each client is supported through the Multi-Disciplinary Team and the Care Programme Approach so that each individual's care is tailored to their specific needs.

Our service has excellent training links with the University of Bedfordshire and Oxford Brooks University.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding service. You will act as a Charge Nurse leading the way within a friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team, working under the supervision of the Ward Manager, you will be responsible for also leading a small team providing managerial/clinical supervision. In the absence of Ward Manager you will be expected to act up/cover for this period.
You will be expected to have at least 2 years' experience at band 5 or above with relevant experience within adult mental health services. As a role model you will be expected to deliver a high standard of care to mentally disordered offenders and provide support to junior colleagues. It is mandatory for you to complete PEACE (Positive, Engagement and Caring Environment) training.

You must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, willing to develop therapeutic skills and interventions and be committed to a high quality of patient care.

This position attracts an RSU Lead of 1,446 pa on top of the annual salary.
