Liverpool Community Health is seeking to appoint visionary, dynamic, and highly motivated individuals to join its recently redesigned health visiting service. Our service aspiration is to model our teams as described in A Call to Action: Health Visitor Implementation Plan (Department of Health 2011).

The service delivers child and family health services from pregnancy through to 5 years within a progressive universal model of service delivery dependent on assessed need (as defined by the Healthy Child Programme 0-5 years, DH 2008). Our staff provides on-going additional services for those children and families with complex needs and work closely with our partners to deliver multidisciplinary services in order to protect children and keep them safe.

The successful candidate will manage a defined Health Visiting team and will be accountable to the relevant locality Care Manager for the effective, efficient and safe delivery of the service to the population served. The post holder will be expected to lead and manage the team contract and to work with the staff to achieve their key performance indicators.

The post holder will provide direct line management to the team and will be expected to work collaboratively with other team leader colleagues and service leads in planning and developing the service. A primary function of this role is to provide effective leadership and communication to the team, ensuring safe, efficient, co-ordinated and responsive high quality care to children and their families through the facilitation of effective team working.

Applicants must evidence SCPHN (HV) registration, current NMC registration, Continuing Professional Development (CPD). They should also be able to demonstrate a proven ability regarding management/clinical leadership and experience of successful multi-agency partnership working.
