An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the PPS Service based in the hub at Salford Quays, Manchester.
This vacancy will give you the opportunity to provide an accurate, high quality support service to both line managers and BIG, delivering guidance to resolve both individual cases and employee relations issues.
Once established in role, you will utilize your proven M & S experience to work in partnership with HR and Commercial colleagues to ensure that a commercially aligned service is delivered nationwide.
A great team player with the ability to work with a range of stakeholders, you will thrive on the varied, fast paced nature of the role, being able to respond quickly, decisively and informatively to a range of employee issues.
Constantly striving to increase your knowledge of both the internal and external business environment, you will use the insight gained from the hundreds of calls you take each month to influence feedback to the Centres of Expertise, Retail and Head Office.
Motivated to drive your own development and performance, you will also relish the opportunity to share your knowledge with other PPS team members.
The key accountabilities and measures are;
� Deliver high quality, consistent and accurate advice on all aspects of people policy in line with the PPS SLA
� Maintain personal expert knowledge of M & S employment policy and practice
� Coach and develop the line manager to deliver effective people management
� Coach BIG reps to support their role as Employee Representatives and as an accompanying person
� To personally case manage complex / high risk cases and support the legal team in Employment Tribunal claims
� To stay informed and up to date with how the business is operating and offer advice that balances doing the right thing for individuals with the commercial needs of the business
� Build strong stakeholder relationships in order to adapt advice pragmatically to the business needs
� Monitor and identify key people themes and trends that offer insight to the business
Technical skills/business skills required
� Excellent verbal and written communication
� Detailed knowledge of M & S employment policies, frameworks and practice
� Up to date awareness of external case, trends and employee relations best practice
� Strong decision making skills
� Ability to deliver difficult conversations and decisions to all levels of stakeholder
