Consultant Spinal Surgeon (Neurosurgeon or Orthopaedic surgeon)
Applications are invited for a consultant position at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust for a full time consultant spinal surgeon.
The successful candidate must have full General Medical Council (GMC) registration, completed Specialist Training in Neurosurgery or Trauma and Orthopaedics, and be entered on the Specialist Register of the GMC and have a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) date, within three months of the date of interview and licensed to practice.
The successful candidate would join a group of 18 neurosurgeons and 1 orthopaedic surgeon, 7 of which have a complex spinal interest. On call for a neurosurgical candidate is currently 1:15 with a 1:7 spine take rota. Orthopaedic equivalent candidates would only have the latter.
