The Department of Medical Imaging consists of a focused team of clinical and clerical staff working together to provide a first class service to all our patients/visitors who visit the department. We work based across two sites: Leighton and the Victoria Infirmary site at Northwich and cover across both sites is required.
As a whole the clerical team has 20+ members of staff who provide reception and full clerical support for the Department. We also organise/liaise with all our patients/visitors to us with regards to appointments.
General duties/skills for Clerical Officer/Receptionist members of staff include:
* Accurate data inputting / good typing speeds
* Answering the telephone, taking messages as necessary
* Greeting of patients and visitors to the department
* Excellent customer service skills
* Diplomacy (dealing with difficult and distressing patients/visitors)
* Supporting other team members
* Having general IT competency and confidence
* Ability to learn transfer of images via electronic systems to other hospitals
* Ability to work under pressure
* Be able to maintain Departmental aims and objectives
You must be flexible in your working pattern as the Clerical Officer/Receptionist role requires a rota to be covered which includes weekend working. Core hours will be agreed with the successful applicant on commencement.
Experience of accurate data inputting, MS word and outlook, together with assertiveness skills are desirable.
