This is an exciting opportunity to join the Surgical Divisions Nursing Administration Team at the Nottingham University (NUH) NHS Trust.
We are looking to appoint an Apprentice to the Abdominal, Chest and Endocrine (ACE) Matrons and other identified senior nursing staff within the area.
Working hours are 37.5 per week working between the hours of 8am til 4pm on an Apprentice 15 month fixed term contract. You will be working alongside a senior member of staff to ensure good admin support cover is available to the Matrons.
You would need to be a conscientious and enthusiastic team player, working well with the other members of the team. You must have good organisational and communication skills. You would need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues, be well motivated and reliable. You will be able to understand and accurately convey verbal and written information.
Main duties would be to produce a good standard of basic administration support for the Matrons and other Senior Nursing staff details can be found on the Job Description.
As an employee we will help to support you in obtaining an approved apprenticeship standard or apprentice framework. We will be committed to ensuring that a structured plan is in place to support and enable you to take 20% of your working hours away from your general duties per week in order to complete the standards or framework.

All new employees starting work at NUH will be subject to a DBS check and liable for the cost (49 for enhanced, 31 for standard, 30 for basic).
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
