We�re looking for a commercially focused and style-savvy womenswear and lingerie editor to drive Marks & Spencer�s editorial content to the next level. Key skills are: an ability to write sharp, sparkling copy that is 100 per cent on-brand; a profound understanding of who the M & S customer is, what kind of media she consumes and the clothes she wears; an insatiable appetite for fashion and trends; a wide-ranging understanding of the retail editorial sector and what our competitors are doing; and an ability to multi-task calmly across a large number of projects and deadlines.
Job purpose: Manage the day-to-day running of womenswear and lingerie Style & Living and rich content on M & S.com; manage copy and content requests from across the business, creating stylish, inspiring and relevant womenswear and lingerie editorial stories.
Scope of the role:

Key accountabilities and measures:
� To create and manage editorial content for womenswear and lingerie across all digital platforms, plus ad-hoc print projects in line with customer priorities
� To generate relevant ideas and shoot concepts for inspiring editorial and rich content and curating product to support this
� To work with the creative studio to execute the concept end-to-end � including being main editorial POC on shoot to ensure output meets editor-in-chief�s creative vision
� To write engaging content copy and managing the shopping journey, always with the customer front of mind
� To liaise with key stakeholders about upcoming business priorities and incorporate them into content ideas
� To analyse and report on the success of content to inform future planning
� To oversee and edit the copy direction of marketing and trading content i.e. banners, emails, department landing pages and anything else required
� Keep abreast of fashion industry news and trends and use knowledge to inform ideas
� Be the editorial authority on womenswear and lingerie for M & S

Technical skills/business skills required
� Solid digital editorial experience
� Ability to write sparkling, compelling copy that adheres to the M & S tone of voice and good SEO practice
� Confident running shoots on the editor�s behalf and conducting interviews with everyone from celebrities to models to senior staff members
� Ability to interpret and analyse data to inform and improve the customer experience � and use Omniture to meet everyday needs
� Identifying commercial and cultural trends and making them relevant to the M & S customer
� Adept at managing relationships with key stakeholders and external agencies/suppliers
� Thorough understanding of retail and how commercial priorities and relevant editorial content work together to create inspiring customer journeys, improve brand awareness and, ultimately, encourage customers to convert
� Able to juggle multiple priorities and remain calm and positive
� Ability to generate sharp ideas, clever creative suggestions and solutions to problems
� Thorough understanding of our customer segments, the way they dress and the media they consume
