Band 5 Anaesthetic and Recovery - Surgical Day Case Unit

30 hours per week

We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic Band 5 Anaesthetic and Recovery practitioners to join our busy Day Case department at Royal Preston Hospital.

The Surgical Day Case Unit covers a wide range of Adult and Paediatric specialties including Neurosurgery, Urology, General Surgery, Plastics, ENT, Maxillo Facial, Special Care Dental and Ophthalmology.

We are looking for flexible team players with good organizational skills and the ability to prioritise their own workload.

You will be responsible for supporting your team in achieving the highest standards of patient care and as a valued team member you will demonstrate commitment to the role.

You must have a qualification in Anaesthetics and /or recovery.

Anaesthetic practitioners are required to hold an existing Anaesthetic qualification but opportunities to develop within the Anaesthetic role may be available.

If you are successful in obtaining a position with our Trust which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check. As a registered body with the DBS, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will conduct the administration of this application on your behalf and the cost will be recovered from your salary, either as a one-off payment or over 3 months. Currently the charges made by the Disclosure and Barring Service are - Standard DBS check 30.20 and Enhanced DBS check 48.20. The level of check required depends on the role that you have been offered.
