Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated individual to join its Finance Department in the post of Cashier. The post holder will be based at the Cambridge Biomedical Campus once the Hospital moves to its new site in September 2018.
Working within a small team, the cashier is responsible for providing a full cashiering function to the Hospital in addition to being the main contact between the Hospital and the cash team from the Hospital's financial accounts shared service provider. The role of cashier is a varied role and will include some contact with staff and patients/patient relatives outside of a clinical area. Accuracy and attention to detail along with good communication skills are essential for this role.
No formal qualification is required however you must have had previous experience in a similar role and be comfortable handling cheques and cash. You will be familiar with computerised financial ledgers and be able to manage and prioritise your own work load whilst working to strict deadlines.
