This is a new opportunity to work in the physiotherapy OP department at QMC as a Band 3 Physiotherapy Support Worker.

This post is part-time - 30 hours per week which can be worked over either 4 days or 5 days depending on the applicant.

We are looking for an applicant who is enthusiastic about exercise and rehabilitation, has good communication and motivation skills and who enjoys being part of a big team. You will need to be flexible and adaptable and at times may be required to work across all NUH sites.

You will be based in the physiotherapy gym at QMC, managing your own case load of musculoskeletal rehabilitation patients, working alongside qualified Physiotherapists. Working within protocols and a competency package, you will be devising, supervising and progressing exercises, rehabilitation programmes and classes for adult patients of all ages with musculoskeletal injuries.
Previous experience of working with people in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting is essential but we will offer full and appropriate training, support and individual personal development

Part of each working day will be spent on non-clinical duties to ensure smooth running of the department - this will involve cleaning and maintenance of clinical equipment, administrative work and documentation.

You will also be required to work on the Orthopaedic and Trauma wards as part of a rota at the
weekends.

The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
